3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask on tap at the brewpub.
Appearance: A darker shade of brown and slightly hazy. The head is eggshell white and very creamy. Superb lacing, leaving a solid sheet on the glass.
Aroma: Not a whole lot of aroma, but there was a hint of lemongrass scent to it which was nice.
Taste: Very mellow, with a light taste of bread and caramel with a slightly grassy flavor. There was a touch of orange to it but only in the back.
Palate: Very creamy and smooth. Finishes clean. No obvious carbonation.
Overall: A very excellent cask ale that I would drink again. It was smooth and easy drinking; easy to pair with any food. I recommend it.
