Draught, Falling Rock. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown to black. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, cookie, husks), with notes of banana/gum, clove, alcohol, and diacetyl. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium to full body, watery/syrupy texture, soft carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Kind of crude/raw, but itís not without some pleasantries as well. Ok overall.

8th Big Beers, Belgians, and Barleywines. Pours clear orange with a huge, creamy, off-white head, lasting with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, meal), average hops (flowers, grass), average yeast (horse blanket, barnyard, earth) with notes of light alcohol, banana, and vanilla. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

Draught at Falling Rock. Beer is clear, very dark, red-brown with a small, light brown, creamy/frothy, diminishing but mostly lasting head.<P>The aroma is moderately malty with a note of roasted grain; Hoppy with a trace of resin/pine, light herbal note; Light miscellaneous note of boozy vinous cherry, moderate note of plantain.<P>The flavor is moderate/heavily sweet, lightly bitter, lightly acidic with a long, warm, lightly bitter, lightly sweet finish. Boozy blossom at the end of the whip.<P>The body is medium, the texture is watery/velvety and the carbonation is lively.<P>Alright.

On tap @ Falling Rock poured a translucent brownish black with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of charcoal, carmel, dark fruit and a hint of vanilla. Palate was full bodied and smooth. Flavors of roastiness, dark fruit, carmel and a hint of chocolate with a lingering, slightly syrupy sweet finish.
