Cask (handpump) @ Globe, 17 Cases Street, Liverpool, Merseyside, England L1 1HW.

Clear light dark brown colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, spicy, christmas spices. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, christmas spices, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120117]

Cask (Pullman, Helsinki) Orange, thin head. Aroma nutty, woody, and a pleasant gingeriness. Taste matches - very nutty and gingery. Potent and morish.

Cask conditioned - handpump - A light amber coloured beer with a whitish head. The aroma has berry fruits which also follow through into the taste. Some malts and a little warmth in the mouth. Pretty good.

Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Malty hint of choc. Light bodied sweet and drinkable but unimpressive bitter.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. The pumpclip has a picture of a man urinating into snow. How amusing. Gold. Sweet buttery aroma. Taste is buttery malt, well rounded, with a mid bitter finish. Straightforward beer.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2007 Cask at troon beer fest 07... Light copper ... soft musty hop ... again musty hop ... little grapefruit ... not up to much.

A Mes rate: Cask at the Wenlock.
Dark golden brown with a thin bubbly white head. Creamy malt aroma with plenty caramel and maybe a very slight hint of diacetyl. Very fruity flavour, with sweet caramel malt and again a hint of diacetyl but for once it is almost complimentary. So so.

Cask at Troon beer fest 07. Aroma is woody, nutty, burnt toast and wood. Taste is again burnt malts, woody and in no way plesent, but drinkable.
