Thanks to Seanyfo for this bottle. The beer is brown in the glass, beige head. The beer starts mild, creamy. Not too deep in aroma, but smooth. The mainpart is a bit malty, not too Ale-typical. The aftertaste is long, dry, a bit roasted.
--> Nice, but could be a bit deeper in aroma. --> 7/12/7/7

It poured with a full, off white head and pleasing copper colour. I picked up burnt toast in the aroma and a hint of liquorice in the flavour. After a bit I got the butter taste too. I t was nearly (but not quite) bitter enough. I enjoyed this more than some people, but, no, it wasnít a classic and I donít think Iíd buy it again.

Bottle. Light chestnut in coour with small head. Aroma of malts and toffee. Taste is also malts and toffee but well balanced in regards to bitterness and sweetness. There are some hops there. Very uninteresting but easy to drink. Better than I remember last time I had this 4 or 5 years ago.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Jan 2013 - room temp bottle. Very low alcohol content - only 3.6. Body is light to mid. Taste is slightly watery, starts quite malty and with a very mild toffee/caramel flavour. I like that kind of flavour, but itís very mild and is a lot stronger in other beers. I was expecting this beer to be below average, but it was average and so Iíve no complaints. Drinkable enough.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very dark Amber in colour but more like a sweetened old ale in character. Sweet aroma with some fruitiness. No head.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle - An indifferent sort of beer. Nothing offensive. Some light toffee, and a thin smearing of hops. Pleasant enough, but largely lifeless and lacking in character.
