500ml bottle. Aroma of peaches and toast. Colour copper. Head small. Taste spicy, well-rounded maltiness with plummy sweetness. Hops come through in the finish, which is long and bitter. A truly great bitter, possibly the best bitter I've tasted. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml Bottle. This pours a clear dark rusty gold with a white head. Its aroma is mainly biscuit malts with a hint of caramel. It tastes pretty average to be honest but what stands out is the smoothness which combines well with the bitter finish. Decent enough beer this and I wont turn down another glass of it.

500ml bottle at home. Pours clear copper, no head. Aromas are mostly sweet malt, light floral fruity hops. Taste is mostly sweet too, low bitterness. Pretty standard boring British bitter. Watery finish.

Appearance: Clear copper/ruby with quick to disappear finger thick ivory head. Aroma: Biscuit, grassy/hay, burnt caramel. Taste: low sweetness, medium bitterness and sourness. Palate: Thin smooth texture, light body, average carbonation, lingering burnt malt bitter fruity finish. Comments: Tasty.

Thanks to Seanyfo for this bottle. The beer is brown in the glass, beige head. The beer starts mild, creamy. Not too deep in aroma, but smooth. The mainpart is a bit malty, not too Ale-typical. The aftertaste is long, dry, a bit roasted.
--> Nice, but could be a bit deeper in aroma. --> 7/12/7/7

It poured with a full, off white head and pleasing copper colour. I picked up burnt toast in the aroma and a hint of liquorice in the flavour. After a bit I got the butter taste too. I t was nearly (but not quite) bitter enough. I enjoyed this more than some people, but, no, it wasnít a classic and I donít think Iíd buy it again.

Bottle. Light chestnut in coour with small head. Aroma of malts and toffee. Taste is also malts and toffee but well balanced in regards to bitterness and sweetness. There are some hops there. Very uninteresting but easy to drink. Better than I remember last time I had this 4 or 5 years ago.
