black with a very thin brownish head, probably served much too cold in the bar I ordered this. Aroma is malt ,coffee, roast.. Flavor is dark chocolate, hops, hints of espresso. The aftertaste is way too roasty for my taste though. It´s possible i would rate this a tad higher if i´d drunk this at the right temperature.

Bottle. Black body no head and very low carbonation. Aroma is roasted malts with some coffee. Taste is also roasted malts with some sourness and hints of cocoa and some dried fruits. Aftertaste is medium bitter a little bit sour, and some alcohol. O.K. Stout. I think I will re rate this because of the lost carbonation.

Many thanks to Werckmeister for this bottle! Best before 05.06.15. Very thick and dark in the glass, malty intense nose. The beer starts fresh but intense. Lots of roast, very dry with a nice stout-typical sourness in the aftertaste. Smooth, very dry-dusty, rich dark roasted espresso, very smooth. Deep with hints of dark fruit, which harmonise great with the smooth heavy roasted chocolate/coffee aroma. The aftertaste has hints of sourness and is highly drinkable. Heavy roast together with a smooth-mild flavour! Moderate bitterness there, not too intense but round. Great Stout!

UPDATED: APR 20, 2015 bottle at home, bought at the brewery. almost black color, dark coffee colored head, strong smell of coffee, tobacco, dried fruits, light alcoholic, malty, very nice smell. medium body, very good mouthfeel, nice feeling on the tongue, but oh no, where is that sudden medical taste coming from? this bitter / smoky / dry taste. some stouts have it, but I dont like it. anyway, taste has coffee, tobacco, ash, citrus. finish derives from the taste and leaves a quite strong roasty aftertaste. I think the citrus with the maltiness does not work for me here. Good, but could have been better.

Jeges kávé üvegformába töltve, nagyon rágcsálnivaló, kiérződik belőle a pörkölt maláta, brutál test, felmelegít a hideg őszi napokon az utcákat járva.

Aroma: roasted dark malts, resin, ash. Appearance: nice black color, poor beige head. Taste: low bitterness (resin), roasted dark malts, bitter chocolate, coffee, ash, some citrus, slightly watery and there is some acidness. Palate: low body and low carbonation, roasted finish. Overall: Nice stout.

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien 2014. Dark brown, even blackish, small beige head. Aroma is cloying, mixed with roasted malts. I can already tell this is better than their pale ale. Taste has still something dubiously cloying but on the other hand it has some heavy roast flavours too, which are nice. Not really balanced. Aftertaste is quite long, roasty and nice.

Bottle bought at Craft Bier Fest Wien. Dark brown to black body, with a big, creamy, tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate, coffee, nuts, dark fruits, wood. Tastes of coffee, dark chocolate, dark fruits, grains and also some citrus. Mouhfeel is medium, oily, with a moderate carbonation and it finishes bitter-roasty, slightly sour-fruity and with some citric hops. Nice one, quaffable and fully aromatic. Not very complex though, but I like the citric notes from the background.

Bottle, BBE 14/06/14, ABV 5,8%. On closer inspection, the bottle is filled to the brim. The second sign is that there’s almost no hiss at all as the crown is popped. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with a wooden tinge. As suspected, no head at all. When poured real fast, a small ring of latte-colored bubbles. A shame since it would probably look great with a proper head. Aroma is roast and liquorice as well as tobacco and ash. Some nice hoppiness in the background. Taste is roasty with some liquorice, light wooden tinge. A nice fruitiness, not really sure of what kind, but probably from the hops. Perhaps a bit exotic? Fairly light, no carbonation really. Shame about the lack fo carbonation. Would’ve been really nice with some, I think.
