Black color; thin beige head. Mild aroma of coffee, but it’s also lightly sour; there is some delicate, nice vanilla aroma too. Weak body, quite dry mouthfeel, strong flavor of coffee and heavily roasted malt; there is a touch of berries and light sourness too; dusty. Mild coffee again in the end. It’s not my favorite style, and the sourness doesn’t make things better.

Bottle, 25cl. A clear one, at least it look so, it’s hard to decide from this next to black beer. A dense, brown head sits on top. Vinegar, roasted malts and dark berries on the nose. The flavor has a certain sweetness to deal with the sourness and acidity, it’s quite roasted too, full-bodied and dry, with a lasting finish. A nice one. 110311

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Powerfull brett notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Some chocolate but overpowered by brett. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Messy beer.

Bottle. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is sour, wood, coffee, whiskey. Flavour is sourness, wood, coffee, whiskey, chocolate. Strange beer.

Bottle.Pours black with a beige head.Aroma is fruity, smoked, chocolate, peat and chocolate.Flavor is sweet and sour with some peat and red berries.Medium body, soft carbonation.Nice.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty woody chocolate aroma. Fruity malty woody and slightly smokey chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty woody chocolate finish.

Bottled. Pours out in an opaque black colour topped with a rich pale brown head. Big woody aroma with rich notes of anise-seeds, burnt malts, black cherries, brett and grape-skins. Medium to full-bodied with notes of dark chocolate, wood, prunes, salty licorice, brett, black pepper and dried cherries. Long woody and peppery finish of salty licorice, brett and black coffee. tasty and funny to drink.

Bottle 25 cl. Pours a dark brown with a vague reddish hue and a small and creamy off-white head leaving laces. Tart woody accents with a delicate slight note of smoke. Medium body, dry roastiness, tobacco and ashes, a tart woody edge and a rather distinct tar-like malt bitterness. The woody notes are in there throughout. Yummy and rather sophisticated. 010810
