English: A very smooth version of Xbeeriment Black Force One with complex notes of maple syrup and oranges from the Bourbon blending in with the roastiness and hoppiness of the imperial stout. An extremely complex beer. Only 375 bottles made.

Keg@CBC2013 Dark black color, steady brownish head. Wood and cognac in the nose. Medium-bodied. Lots of cognac, booze and wood. Much more alcoholic than normal version. Too boozy.

22oz bottle - The beer pours out a black body, brown creamy head. Aroma has equal parts caramel, bourbon, wood, and spices. A mingling of flavors that really meld well with the residual sweetness left. Bourbon, wood, roasted malts, vanilla and alcohol all nicely balanced. Finish has a nice showing of bourbon and wood, slightly astringent too.

Bottle. Black with a thin fizzy tan head. Chocolate, bourbon, honey, roasted grain, caramel and vanilla aroma and taste with smokey notes and hints of coffee. Oily and chewy thick bodied palate.

Pours black with about a finger of tan head. Aroma of bourbon barrel, chocolate malts, light coffee and smoke, touches of vanilla, a bit subdued. Taste is the opposite: immediately heavy bourbon barrel notes hit you, the whisky is almost overwhelming. There’s some vanilla and chocolate beyond that but not much else. Coffee and booze bitter finish. Body is rich and creamy to oily with low carbonation. A bit all over the place and not very balanced.

Picked up at Randall's in St. Louis. Pours pitch black. Lots and lots of oak. Also caramel burnt toast and roasted coffee. Nice bit a bit over the top.

Bottle at "Ölkalas hos Ekne". Black with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, some light hops, dark chocolate, some bourbon and wood. Drinkable but something was missing in this one.

In short: A harsh woody roasty imperial stout. Just ok.
How: Bottle 500ml, #172 of 374. Consumed when over one year of age.
The look: A light gusher. Pours a black body topped by a large tan head that quickly dissipates to a persistent small layer of foam.
In long: Nose is very woody-oaky (although not particularly bourbon), chocolate cake and notes of menthol. Taste is chocolaty, a bit boozy (sensation of an alcoholised dessert), unexpected flavor of caramelized coated red apple, a lot of roast, notes of vanilla, strong minty notes, a sip of black coffee. A moderately sweet attack transitioning to a dry and very astringent finish with the wood sucking the mouth dry. Overall the beer was too harsh for me, the booze and the oak tannins and the roast all piled up and made for a palate destroyer. I really liked the regular Black Force One, this barrel aged version was a bit letdown, I was as disappointed as when you read a rating that goes on and on and on, and then keeps going on and on, and then goes on and on even more, and then no funny conclusion.

Tap @ CBC 2013. The pour’s black with a small head. The nose is roasted apple, woody booze. Soft spices. Burnt chocolate. Dark forest fruity tang. The taste is rich booze, more wood. Caramel-dipped apple. Toasted cocoa. Some ash. Rich boozy finish. Full body, inky. Overall, a solid impy.
