English: A very smooth version of Xbeeriment Black Force One with complex notes of maple syrup and oranges from the Bourbon blending in with the roastiness and hoppiness of the imperial stout. An extremely complex beer. Only 375 bottles made.

A quite good bourbon barreled stout, quite intense. Pours a deep black with a light tan head. Smells of chestnuts, cedar, smokiness and tart plums. Taste is a bit like port, with chestnuts roasting upon an open fire, with some smokiness, bourbon and plums. Pairs well with Buffalo Cheese. Had in the bottle.

Bottle. Pours black with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of sweet dark grains with some roasted malts, a decent amount of smoke and a bit of bourbon. Flavor has a good amount of smoke and roasted malts with some dark grains and a bourbon finish.

On tap at Tap and Handle. Appearance: finger tan head, black color, opaque. Aroma: prune, chocolate, light cherry, roast, roast, light chilli sweetness maybe? Palate: average carboantion, full body, dry finish, oily carbonation. Taste: sweet malty chocolate into fruity prune and maybe chillies, light booze on end. Overall, super unique, balance is phenomenal. Very good.

Bottle. Pours black, with a creamy mocha head. Aroma is sweet with burned malts, oak and tobacco, as well as notes of alcohol and cocoa. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is burned malts, with alcohol, coffee and prunes, and with dark malts and fruits in the finish.

Thanks northopfrye for this. Really nice stout. Pours black with rich looking mocha head. Aromas of lactose, dried fruit and bright red berries. Roasted malts too. Flavors are sweet and syrupy. Almost like a brandy. Dark chocolate and hops. Not getting a lot of the bourbon notes... But still a great stout

Dark black body with foamy brown head and nice lacing. Nice sweet and roasty aroma. This is not such a smokey beer as the name suggests. I think the bourbon masks some of the smoke which is this case results in a really nice balanced flavourful beer. Great stuff.

Bottle. Very dark brown/black with a tan head. Sweet chocolate, vanilla, brownies, smokey peat, earthy, bourbon, oak, and somewhat sugary. Tasty smokey stout. Well worth trying.

500 ml bottle, back label says it was brewed for Xbeeriment by Bryghus Roskilde. Served in a DFH snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that sticked around a while. There’s also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like bourbon, oak, vanilla, roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some booze, peaty smoke and licorice. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it’s slick, creamy, smooth and easy to drink. Moderate carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew. $13.99 a bottle.

Bottle thanks to trade with jdb288! Pours a thick jet black with thin lacy tan brown head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma is definitely the bourbon barrel up front with boozy oak and vanilla, but hints of smoke and chocolate behind. Taste is more balanced toward the smoke, but still booze heavy, a tad acrid. Bitter bite behind the sweetness, mild carbonation. Solid beer.
