Bottle.

Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, wood, bourbon. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a medium long duration, wood, dark malt chocolate malt, bourbon - alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Draft. A pitch black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of bourbon, wood, spices, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, bourbon, spices, alcohol, and wood, leading to a dry roasted and bourbon finish.

From bottle. Pours dark black with a small tan head. Aroma is smooth roasted malty and slight malty dark. Bitter and dark roasted and smooth boutbon malty. Smooith finish.

On tap. Murky opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Roasty nose but also rather distinct and boozy whisky aroma, doesn’t really appear like Bourbon though. Solid body, low carbonation, heavily roasted bordering burned malt, some vanilla and again massively boozy whisky in the finish. A bit much. 260511

Bottled@CPH BF 2011. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is toffee, vanilla, wood, liquorice and some roasted malts. Flavour is wood, liquorice, toffee, mild alcohol as well as some maltyness.

Bottled at Københavnske Øldage 2011. Opaque black, small head. Aroma of dark chocolate, licorice and bourbon. Full bodied with well rounded mouthfeel and full body. Licorice and spun sugar, tarry bitter finish. An aromatic and pleasant imperial stout.

Bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011, thanks Anders. Pitch black coloured with a small beige head. Sweet and roasted aroma of caramel, dark chocolate and bourbon with notes of vanilla. Sweet and roasted flavour of dark chocolate, hop, bourbon and vanilla with notes of alcohol. Roasted and warming alcoholic finish.

Bottle 131/374. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice aroma with hints of bourbon. Roasted malty chocolate and bourbon vanilla flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and bourbon finish.

Copenhagen Beer Festival, 2011. Pours black with a creamy beige head and lacings. Nose is boozy bourbon, vanilla and roast. Smooth and full bodied. Warmth . . Ends dry.

KØ11. Alcohol aroma with a little vanilla. Almost black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is sweet and roasted with a distinct hoppiness and bitterness. Only a hint of vanilla, but some alcohol.
