English: Our basic idea with this beer originated while making Xbeeriment Barack. When we’d done that we thought "What if we took it further?" So we decided to go for it and create an Imperial Stout made with 5 different kinds of malt including substantial amounts of peat smoked malt, roasted barley and 3 different hop varieties. We then added a 4th variety for dry hopping. Finally it was bottled unfiltered, bottle conditioned and left to mature in the bottle for 2 months before release. Serve at 12-14 degrees Celcius (53-57 degrees Fahrenheit).

En bouteille a l'autre oeil. Deep black thick robe with a brownish neck that lasts. A smokey fragrance transpire in the taste, reminding me of smoked Gouda with nuts and caramel. Round and bold. Excellent stout, does not show its alcohol level, enjoyed it greatly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Tastes like an arcetype of the modern imperial stout, with heavy roasted notes (coffee, chocolate) but also a heavy, citrusy hoppiness.

A black beer with a beautiful, creamy, big and light brown head. The nose is powerfull, lots of roastiness, salt liquirice, some smoke and nice sweetness. Taste of salt and salt liquirice, dry smoke, hint of black coffee. Balanced sweetness is smoothening the powerfull taste. The end is long and strongly roasted. Pleasant and smooth to drink, full bodied with low carbonation. Enjoyable beer but still the final touch is missing. Strongly roasted and salt liquirice IS with some smoke.

Bottle 500 ml from bursprak, many thanks! Into a snifter, ABV 10.4% The beer is totally black n colour, with two fingers of dark brown head, with thick enough density and good retention, leaving foamy islands and medium lacing around the glass, after it has collapsed. Aroma full of roasted malts and coffee, vanilla. I don’t get any smoke. Light alcohol aroma after a couple deep sniffs. Taste also of roasted malts, vanilla, wood, just a hint of the smoke now, the alcohol very well hidden and only notable on the finish, light coffee too. Nice bitterness on the aftertaste with good duration. Full body, soft but notable carbonation. Sticky palate. Overall good and tasty beer, with the alcohol so well hidden one must be carefull with this one.
