COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: From 2009 - 2012 this beer was brewed at Amager Bryghus. Starting from the summer of 2012 it will be brewed at Herslev Bryghus.

English: Our basic idea with this beer originated while making Xbeeriment Barack. When we’d done that we thought "What if we took it further?" So we decided to go for it and create an Imperial Stout made with 5 different kinds of malt including substantial amounts of peat smoked malt, roasted barley and 3 different hop varieties. We then added a 4th variety for dry hopping. Finally it was bottled unfiltered, bottle conditioned and left to mature in the bottle for 2 months before release. Serve at 12-14 degrees Celcius (53-57 degrees Fahrenheit).

Bottle. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly diminished with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted smoked malt, chocolate and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy toasted dark chocolate malt flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid dark beer.

It pours dark brown (opaque) and has mahogany highlights; the head is beige and foamy. The aroma has notes of: charcoal, dark chocolate, and leather. The taste is medium-heavy bitter a very slight sweetness; there are notes of: the aforementioned aroma notes, and dark sweet berries. The palate is medium-light bodied, slightly sticky, and has a long finish. Overall, the body does not compliment the flavour profile, very watery for an imperial stout.

500 ml bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours dark brown to black in color with athin off white film. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, coffee, mild smoked character that works well with the roasted malt. Dark chocolate and earthy notes. Dry, mild to moderate bitterness to the finish.

500ml bottle form the LCBO. Pours a deep black with a tiny dark beuge head. Nose is chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and cola. Smoke really comes out in the taste with bitter coffee and some sweet plum. Mouth is quite slick but somewhat thin for a stout with average carbonation. Nice long bitter finish.

Pours a rich deep burnt umber with two fingers of thick khaki foam. The nose is dark and complex; cocoa, burnt brownie, bit of spent coffee grounds and pine. The palate follows the nose with huge roasted chocolate, creamy coffee, touch of dark herbal fruit that rides into a long bitter finish. The mouthfeel is silky and smooth on the front end with a bit of bubble scrub midpalate that opens up the bitter qualities. Huge Flavor with tremendous layers ! Damn.
