Editor’s note: From 2010 - 2012 this beer was brewed at Amager Bryghus. From the summer of 2012 it will be brewed at Herslev Bryghus.

An Imperial IPA made with Marris Otter pale malt, 3 different hop varieties from 3 different parts of the world, fermented fairly dry.... The result; a nuclear meltdown of hops!

Poured from a bottle from lakeview Liquors. Orange and cloudy - white head. Bitter piney Carmel and dank dirty sock taste. I think it might be old.

Bottle @ #HPJ-13. Pours a dark amber with a small, off-white head. Aroma is caramel, lightly boozy. Mostly caramel. Taste is much of the same, caramel is strong, a bit boozy. Some pine there as well, but unfortunately the caramel dominates. Not oversweet, but not much of hop flavor here unfortunately. Full and well carbonated.

500 ml bottle. Rated on 28.11.2013.
Pours a dark copper orange colour with a small head. Aroma is very earthy with some mild spiciness, gooseberries and juicy mango. Flavour of caramel, grassy bitterness, metallic notes, yeast, some harsh gooseberry notes, mango and wood. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Same off-flavours as was on their Madraz IPA. A bit unclean as well.

Boutip (4920) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 7, 2013
Bottle: Poured a deep amber/golden color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and lightly resinous hops is dominant with some light notes of residual sugar. Taste is also dominated by dominant notes of citrus hops and some light resinous notes with some lightly sweet mat in the background. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed though hops floral notes could have been even more powerful.

GBWF, from my huge backlog. Amber, beige head. Buttery malt, peach, citrus and tropical fruits. Mördegskakor. Not all that impressive.
