Draught at Bryggens. Golden with a white head. For years I’ve been trying to get different brewers to put a blond or a trippel on a moscatel barrel. Without me having anything to do with it, Thomas and Anders did something about this craving of mine (and probably theirs as well, as I don’t think we ever spoke of this). Stickingyour nose into this is like sticking your nose into a glass of wine. Sweet grapes in abundance with a hint of grain. Flavour is sweet with notes of grapes, bread, yeast and wood. It still leaves a lot of golden belgian beer flavour and has some bitterness to it. Finishes with a lovely and smooth alcohol warmth. This is great. Thanks for making this beer. Only wish I could have been an active part of making it.

Draught at Bryggens Ølbar. Clear golden with a frothy white head, ok retention. Woody aroma. My friend says it smells like glue. He might be right. Flavor has liggt oxidation notes. Very woody, vineous like a sherry. Too vineous - is this a beer a all? Very dry finish. Despite the woodyness I quite like this, but I wonder why beer needs to taste like wine? Doesn’t really make sense...

Draught at Bryggens Ølbar. Clear yellow - white head. Angry powerfull barrel aroma. Fresh fruity- Light honey taste. Light oxidation notes. Wooden. Herbal. Grape fruitiness. Light sweetness. Some glue from 2 years in the barrel. Flowery notes. Acid fruity. Fresh green nuts. Power. Nice.

Draught at CBC 2012. Clear golden/amber - white head. Freshness, sweetness, nice grape notes, minerals, sherry, fruity, wooden notes, sweet aroma, dry finish. Very high drinkability.

Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, light to moderate yeasty, oak, fruity, grape - wine, light alcohol, peppery - ceder notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120511]

Draft at CBC ´12..... It pours clear golden with a medium white head..... The aroma is malt, spices and caramel..... The flavor is malt, caramel, fruit, spice, yeast, vinous, oak and some alcohol finish.....

Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours a hazy and golden beer with a white head. The aroma is malt, fruit, sweetness, spices, white wine and grapes. The flavor follows the nose with additional notes of alcohol. The palate is sweetness with notes of alcohol. Overall a good beer.

CBC. Totally unique experience; trippel is not my style but the grapes and barrel adds spicyness and an amazing complexity otherwise only found in Cantillon, and here its without the horse!

Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Hazy golden with a big and lasting firm white head. Herbal and spicy aroma with fruity notes and distinct oak. Sweetish spicy and fruity flavour with a strong oak note, white wine character and a tannin drying finish

Draft @ CBC 2012. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty vinous spicy aroma. Fruity malty slightly woody spicy flavor. Has a fruity malt spicy yeasty woody finish.
