2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 beersearcher (1956) - Glendale, California, USA - JAN 7, 2012
Sparkling and quite bitter. Sharp at first and then it melts into the Nelson Sauvin. Kind of grape soda instead of raw grape taste though. Seemed like two different IPAs in one glass.

Overall: I feel that the beer I had was not a good example. I would be willing to try another bottle and compare it to this one.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Sammy (7041) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 19, 2011
A tasty IPA, the nelson sauvin hops give it a white wine fruitiness. However other versions of these hops have been better tasting. Still very good and good mouthfeel. Very drinkable. Hazy orange with lasting off white head.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bhensonb (9002) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 2, 2011
Bottle from West Lakeview Liquor in Chicago. Pours hazy orange gold with a creamy/bubbly off-white head. Smells like peaches. With a little biscuit. And some florality. Med body. Flavor is floral/peach with some nice smooth caramel. But this is bitter. Having just done Kats Pis, I am overwhelmed with Nelson. But the fruitiness stays to the finish. Really bitter. Brilliant.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 michael-pollack (4962) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 2, 2011
500ml Bottle: Aroma of hops, citrus, malt, grass, pine, slight cat pee, slight wood, and some grain. Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer, as well as around the edges. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of small particles throughout. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of hops, light malt, wood, light pine, grass, and a hint of caramel. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Medium bitter, lightly sweet, hop, wood, slight citrus, grass, resin finish is lightly dry. 6.9% ABV is completely hidden throughout.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TheAlum (4289) - Lisle, Illinois, USA - SEP 18, 2011
Bottle shared by Derek Pre-Zwanze! Thanks! Pours a golden amber, good haziness, with a frothy whitish head that stays a decent layer, ok lacing. Aromas are a nice floral hop nose, touches of citrus and grass, largely floral hops with some bread, biscuits. A more floral nose. Initial is medium, a little lighter bodied with a decent floral and citrusy kick up front. Some potpurri, grass, with dry toast, biscuits, with some pale malts. Middle throws some bread, biscuits, pale malts, touches of spice, lingering dry earthy hops. More dry than sweet, the hops keep it going. Finish is lingering florals and grass, touches of bread and pale malts. A bit simple but quite drinkable. Works well on balance, but nothing sticks out to keep it memorable. Solid, but doesn’t stick out. Was enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has a combination of floral and grassy hops and a hint of grain. Flavor starts with sweet bread and has growing notes of grassy and floral hops. Hint of resin.
