Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 8, 2008 Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong citrusy notes as well as medium notes of spices, and light notes of malty and yeast. The falvor is sweet with strong notes of lemon, leinding it a slightly tart finish, but also with notes of spices as lighter notes of celery and alcohol. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 9, 2008 Bottled at RBESG. Hazy golden, airy head. Fruity phenolic nose. Near full bodied with juicy peach flavour. Evidently minerally. It feels concentrated, dense and syrupy, would’ve liked to have it more fresh and lively so make the very interesting flavours come out more. Good beer with even more potential. Papsoe (10359), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 19, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Hazy golden with a creamy, off-white head. Spicy and a little tart aroma - is there a hint of Brett? Full-bodied, intensely sweet and herbal with a distinct yeastiness. Almost a little syrupy. Very fruity all the way through with a subdued bitterness. Quite interesting this "Imperial Saison". 120708 yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 6, 2008 From tap and bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a nicely one to two finger thick dense white head. Aroma is mild yeasty and light spiced, quite inviting and classic and clean Belgian. Flavour is perhaps the best Belgian saison I’ve ever had. Creamy, smooth and light spiced - all in a perfect blend. Bottle was somewhat sweet while the tap version clearly was more dry. Tap version showed a light hoppy note that complimented the beer quite nicely, not as clear in the bottled version. Ends with a mild yeasty smooth spice note and mild sweetness (bottle) or dryness (tap). Extremely well balanced. Well done! A shame I couldn’t carry a whole case on my bike - I’ll be back for more. Goes fantastic with basil, thyme and oregano spiced and barbecued chicken breast! joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 7, 2008 Draught at Ølbutikken..
