COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Fiiltered
A black lager which was launched after studies by American anthropologist Alan D Eames into Amazon beer. The beer is claimed to be based on recipes for ancient Amazon beer, though critics are sceptical as neither the ingredients nor the production method match Eames’ studies. Lagering and hops were unknown to the Amazon Indians.

Key Foods Supermarket, Brooklyn bottle ($2): Pours a near black color with a thin brownish head. So the look is all fine. Aroma is hard to get from the nose at least at first, but as it warms up there is a modest roasted malt element. At the first taste, this beer feels too much like a soda, Dr. Pepper to be precise... carbonation taste and everything. Again as it warms up the beer flavors actually start to be represented. Where you get the fruits, molasses and roasted malts. Syrupy-like texture.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a medium, brown head. Dark, malty aroma with some spice and fruits. Sweet flavor with dark fruits and good roast. Medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes with some nice roastiness along with strong malty sweetness. Not bad.

dark pour as the name implies lots of flavor, chocolate malts seem to be the flavor. smooth and very tasty. Finishes better then the start. not bad at all.

Draught @ Cuiaba Airport, Brazil. Dry grassy malt aroma & flavour. Very dark brown with big tan head. Sharp on palate with sour aftertaste. Not my thing.

12 oz bottle into my all-purpose Sam Adams glass. Nose is black coffee, bread, licorice. Pours black with a reddish tint when held up to the light; nice head recedes, leaving a blanket of foam and creamy decorative lace. Taste is malty sweet with no bitterness. Taste is like chocolate and fresh baked bread. Carbonation is soft, body is medium, and mouthfeel is creamy. A nice schwarz.

Not as flavorful or aromatic as the color suggests. Enough going on to be interesting but remains very drinkable. Serving: Bottle

The beer pours a dark brown to black color with a tan head. The aroma is roasted malt and chocolate, but it is fairly faint. The flavor is more pronounced. I get some roasted malt, chocolate and caramel. The beer is very dry. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
