COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Fiiltered
A black lager which was launched after studies by American anthropologist Alan D Eames into Amazon beer. The beer is claimed to be based on recipes for ancient Amazon beer, though critics are sceptical as neither the ingredients nor the production method match Eames’ studies. Lagering and hops were unknown to the Amazon Indians.

Light malt aroma. Dark amber color with a small brown head. Moderately sweet flavor that fades adn gets a very slight amount of bitterness in the finish. Lightly silky palate.

Pours a rich black with a thin mocha head which leaves some rainy streaks. Aroma is anise, light chocolate, and light vanilla. Taste is light chocolate and light vanilla with a smooth mouthfeel. Pretty damn good actually.

Pours a dark brown color with thin offwhite head. Aroma is sweet malt, light bread, chocolate and fruit notes. Not much else going on here and same goes for the taste. I was expecting more roasty and chocolate character. Oh well, it ain’t bad and it’s from Brazil which is cool.

Brown bottle bought in Boston. Bière noire opaque avec un beau nez rôtie, agréable. Bouche soyeuse, rôtie, torréfaction. longue et onctueuse. Belle bière surprenante.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a glass. Pours black opaque with dark brown highlights and small brown head. Taste is sweet malt (light chocolate and some molasses), and a hint of smoke. A little complexity and silky smooth texture. Taste is great, this is a regular for me.

Bottle. This was my first taste of a Schwarzbier. Poured a rich black color with tan head. Definite tastes of coffee/chocolate. Would drink another.

12oz bottle at restaurant. Pours a black body with little head. Aromas of cocoa, light malt sweetness and some roastiness. Flavors of chocolate, some dark fruits, nutty and lightly sweet. Thin to medium mouthfeel. Let it warm up a bit for full effect. Not bad.
