COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Fiiltered
A black lager which was launched after studies by American anthropologist Alan D Eames into Amazon beer. The beer is claimed to be based on recipes for ancient Amazon beer, though critics are sceptical as neither the ingredients nor the production method match Eames’ studies. Lagering and hops were unknown to the Amazon Indians.

A totally unremarkable black beer. Slight smokey flavor, chocolate, etc. It’s not overly sweet, which is nice

This beer pours a black color with a nice thick off-white head. Really nice lacing around my glass. Smell of chocolate, malts, and sugars. Flavor of roasted coffee/chocolate. A good black beer!

12oz twist-off bottle. Black / dark brown pour. tan head. Vacant aroma of seaweed. Odd flavor. Salty and a bit of chocolate malt (milk shake). a touch of cola and maybe molasses. A bit flat, not what I was expecting at all. At least Brazil has the Olympics to look forward to....

One of the best black beers of Brazil, Xingu have a beautiful dark color and a very strong taste but not too bitter.

Bottled (The Extended Probation Session). A black beer with a nice off-white coloured head which sadly goes too quick. The aroma is weak with just a hint of roast. Slightly sweet and lactic in the mouth with a little chocolate. A bit ordinary but with a weird fruitiness.

355ml bottle at a Brazilian restaurant. Quite an enjoyable dark beer. Leans more towards the Dunkel side of the scale for me with a fair bit of burnt caramel and roasted nut flavour. Hint of wood roastiness, with a smooth body and decent carbonation, finishes quite clean, well balanced, quite decent dark lager overall.
