COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Fiiltered
A black lager which was launched after studies by American anthropologist Alan D Eames into Amazon beer. The beer is claimed to be based on recipes for ancient Amazon beer, though critics are sceptical as neither the ingredients nor the production method match Eames’ studies. Lagering and hops were unknown to the Amazon Indians.

12oz. Really dark and lets only a tiny amount of light through at the edges. Pours like olive oil. Aroma is like a porter, maybe some molassess. Very sweet up front, some grain bitterness in the middle. Finishes sweet and with a whiff of resin, the resin is more a sensation then a flavor. Unlike any other beer I’ve tasted. Yay beer!

12oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a red hued outline and a dense, medium sized tan head. Sweet milk chocolate aromas with some light roastiness. The flavours are sweet and chocolatey, roasty with a dab of coffee. Dryish mouthfeel with no real length in the finish.

No smell or aftertaste for me. The color is very black. Tastes great. No kick at all.

Dark pour with tan head. Roasted malt, sweetness. Crisp, roasted malt taste with a little sweetness. Nice tasting beer to see in my rural area.

Another beer from my Earth-straddling haul of Cov Tesco rates ( 7 from 7 countries). Not negra, but deep ruby with a creamy tan head spotting with yeast. Notes refer to aroma as ’Belorussian limpet’, which I think means brackish, mildly nauseating, sickly with brown sugar, with some rye bread, cheese and vomit showing. Mouth pencil shavings, cola sugariness, licked stamp, toffee. Didn’t tickle my fancy one bit, but Pa Jenner and the sink enjoyed it.

(Can, thanks FatPhil) Deep dark brown. Quite large tan coloured head. Caramell and lightly roastedness in aroma. Medium bodied palate with medium carbonation. Caramell, sweetness, roastedness, malts and bitterness in taste. Sweet and bitter aftertaste.

Pours black with a dark head. Weak aroma of roasted malt. Flavor was sweet roasted malt, clean and easy to drink. Not too exciting, but pleasant.

Bottle from Tesco Bradford. Black with a thick tan coloured head. Aroma of metal. Taste like sweet coke.
