COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Fiiltered
A black lager which was launched after studies by American anthropologist Alan D Eames into Amazon beer. The beer is claimed to be based on recipes for ancient Amazon beer, though critics are sceptical as neither the ingredients nor the production method match Eames’ studies. Lagering and hops were unknown to the Amazon Indians.

Pretty much black, thin tan head that faded to nothing very quickly. Licorice, faint hint of a nice smelling dog, dark fruit, jam, berries. Pleasantly surprised, not astounding of course but very ok.

Pours black into a shaker. Tan head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing to skim surface. Sour cherry/strawberry starburst aromas. Thin with cocoa and cream. Abrupt licorice and fruit finish.

Brought this back from a night in Brasilia and was pleasnatly surprised, not being partial to lagers. Sweet and dark, one of a few lagers I would have a second of.

Bland but very drinkable dark beer. Not too sweet, went well with the meal. Feels like a watered down stronger beer.

Bottle. Pours nearly black with thin light tan head. Bitter cocoa and a bit of sweet cream on the nose. Dark malts. Tastes more like cocoa. Really not bad.

Is this meant to be still? It opened in complete silence... Thick black treacly looking. Creamy chocolate aroma, it smells like a meringue. Very sweet and malty but not to a gross extent. Plummy fruits come out after a few swigs. Really small amounts of coffee hidden deep down beneath the creamy milk flavours. Silky smooth as they come. No hops whatsoever for me ere. Fruits seem to come out more as you go along with something almost raspberry pink about it.

I like this brew! Its cheap easy and easy to drink, taste is subtle, but lovable. Color is a nice rich black and head is thin and carmel colored. Worth trying
