COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Fiiltered
A black lager which was launched after studies by American anthropologist Alan D Eames into Amazon beer. The beer is claimed to be based on recipes for ancient Amazon beer, though critics are sceptical as neither the ingredients nor the production method match Eames’ studies. Lagering and hops were unknown to the Amazon Indians.

I love schwarzbier and this is an excellent one at that. Pours a muddy red with a small tan head. Semisweet fruity, berry seed, aroma, lightly buttery, faint chocolate. Lightly sweet red berry seed flavor, softly tannic, super light chocolate and roast, touch of grass. Super smooth body with fine fizzy carbonation, lightly creamy. Nice beer.

(bottle - 12 oz) Dark black pour with a thick tan head. Aroma is lightly roasted with a lot of dark malts and some caramel. Flavor is smooth and malty as well with a very lightly roasted finish. A little thin bodied and the flavor goes away quickly.

12 oz bottle. I would call this a bit above average. Taste is the most important thing... and I like it. Tastes good. Thus my rating.

Bottle. Blackish beer with a very strong light brown head. The aroma is lighly roasted, and the flavour is gently bitter and roasted. Overall an average beer.

Reviewed 4/22/2009 (Bottle): Pours an almost pitch black colored body, medium sized creamy tan-colored head, very lasting. Nutty roasted aroma, funkiness too. Pilsenery. Roasted taste, some vegetable like corn. Light watery body. Interesting flavors. Pilsenery tasting.

12 fl oz bottle from Tescos, Ashford, Kent. Deep chestnut brown with a fast fading milk chocolate coloured head; aroma of demarara sugar; milky mouthfeel, incredibly sweet; some chocolate to finish. Reminds me of an old-fashioned milk stout.
Well done to Tesco for bringing different beers like this to the UK.

Seriously, they fooled me into having a beer from MolsonCoors...bastards. Pours black with a tan hand. Roasted chocolate aroma. Decent beer.

Nice dark color. Starts as a very nice beer but leaves the tongue with a bitter sweet (nearly sour) fruity taste. Was not deeply impressed.
