COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Fiiltered
A black lager which was launched after studies by American anthropologist Alan D Eames into Amazon beer. The beer is claimed to be based on recipes for ancient Amazon beer, though critics are sceptical as neither the ingredients nor the production method match Eames’ studies. Lagering and hops were unknown to the Amazon Indians.

Bottle. Black body with a frothy, tan head. Mostly malty aroma of roasted grain, chocolate, smoke and caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Lightly sweet and lightly bitter fnish. Medium body with ample carbonation and a thin texture. A good, malty beer that has plenty of things going to keep your interest, especially for a 4.4% beer. Sweeter than it should be for a schwarzbier, but enjoyable nonetheless.

12 oz bottle purchased at Frugal MacDoogal’s in Nashville. Poured a dark brown color with a two finger tan head. The aroma was caramel malt and a bit of smoke. The flavor was roasted malt and coffee with a lingering burned bitterness.

Bottle split with barrios at woody’s. Pours a near black with small tan head. Notes of caramel, apple, toast, and other sweetness. Medium body with medium carbonation. Bottle had some age on it. I’d like to try this fresh.

12 oz bottle, not sure who sent this to me, but thanks! Very dark brown with a thin tan head, some sediment. Roasty malt nose, licorice and a bit of dust, seems somewhat vinous. Oddly enough, the flavor is sugary sweet, roasty malt, light licorice. Drippy lace. Not very schwarzy, but taste is kinda portery decent.

Bottle, from Rhythm & Booze, Brigg. Jet black, thin short beige head and gentle condition. Low sweet roasted malt and buttery sweetness in the nose, gentle burnt roasted biterness and low coffee in the mouth but still quite sweet, lingering sweet roasted barley and low burnt bitterness in the finish.

Crushed with Jakebra. Poooooop. Some niceness, much poopiness. Can’t get into specifics cuz it sucks too bad.
