3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hogan873 (432) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - AUG 30, 2008
Looks can be deceiving. Nearly black body with hints of red. Not much head to speak of, just some tan foam. The aroma is unique. Sour malt, sweet malt, and something else I can’t quite put my finger on...licorice maybe? Mouthfeel is light and smooth, like a juice with not much carbonation. The flavor is sweet overall. The coffee, caramel, or other malty sweetness is missing, with dried fruit and chocolate taking their place. Very clean finish. An enjoyable beer.

Dark brown with a bit of head, sweet fruits and dried fruits maple syrup. intresting kinda sweet which doesn’t match the beer type but enjoyable none the less. sweet and nice but couldn’t drink more then 1.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 yngwie (8703) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 28, 2008
Bottle. A clear, dark brown leaves a nice tan head. Some cooked vegetables, roasted malt and a touch of dried fruits in the aroma. The flavor relies on roasted malt, but there’a also a slightly coffeeish touch and some notes of cooked vegetables. Medium body and quite fizzy in the mouth. I had higher expectations for this, but that was maybe wrong of me. It’s a boring beer, the kind there’s thirteen on a dozen of. (080731)
3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Pershing (272) - Garland, Texas, USA - AUG 25, 2008
Black with a light brown head that quickly diminishes. A slighty metallic aroma with a sweet flavor. After drinking this beer I was left with wanting no more, maybe because of the sweetness. I give it an overall score of three because Its an unusual brew.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 polomagnifico (845) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - AUG 24, 2008
Bottle. Aroma of metal, roast malts. Dark brown-black hue with an average sized tan head that mostly diminished and left great lace. Flavor is sweet and caramel with roast malt chocolate. Palate is medium-full bodied, oily and almost lively. Nice and smooth but the macro metal/grain aroma and flavors detract. Some fruitiness to this brew and the creamy mouth feel is rather nice. Too bad the crappy lager flavor ruins such a promising brew.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 oh6gdx (15509) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 24, 2008
Bottled (thanks Papsoe!). Blac colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, rubbert and mild notes of fruityness. Flavour is mildly roasted malts, wood and some caramel. Watery and not very strong flavours/aromas. Some underlying sweetish sour grainyness all the way through.
