COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Fiiltered
A black lager which was launched after studies by American anthropologist Alan D Eames into Amazon beer. The beer is claimed to be based on recipes for ancient Amazon beer, though critics are sceptical as neither the ingredients nor the production method match Eames’ studies. Lagering and hops were unknown to the Amazon Indians.

Bottled 355ml. 4.6 ABV. It pours a beautiful dark beer with red reflects. Decent beige head. The nose is of raisins, glue, cork and sour apples accompanied by grainy and sulphury components. The taste is rather sour. Nice lacework. Light bodied. Watery, grainy and sweetish. Very low bitterness. Notes of celery sneaking in. Unpleasant slight dry finish with a hint of bitterness.

Slightly sour aroma and subtle chocolate flavor. Very thin and watery. Not bad though, completely drinkable.

I honestly don’t know how to describe this beer. One of the strangest brews I’ve ever had. Very dark and tart.

Dark brown pour almost stoutish. With light off white head and lace. Bit of a toasted malt aroma but is laced with a bit of funk aroma with a hint of cheap cough syrup. Slight mediciney flavor with a bit of an unpleasant in a way bitter. A little thin and foamy. A beer taht is drinkable but surly is lacking in something.

[Sampled on svogertour with Thomas and Troels at Mols.] More sweet and some unbalanced and watery. Otherwise great for an exotic beer.

Bottle. Near black with no head. Aromas are sweet molasses with cola. Liquorice with herbal notes and some chocolate. Flavours are sweet cocoa with some fruitiness. Lightly herbal with some floral character. A bit thin but fine.

Brasilian brew (but owned by Molson-Coors). The label is cool - kind of artsy and spooky. Black pour with a light tan head and lacing. The aroma is mostly bread and hops, but there is some stale yeast too. It tastes like a solid schwarzbier - cofee, grains, hops, molasses, cola. It is a little on the sweet side, but not out of balance.
