omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 15, 2003 Bottled. Reddish black with rich beigre head. Odd cork aroma. Mild, sweet and velvetty with spun sugar and a pleasant mouthfeel. Papsoe (10461), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 25, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Maria. Clear, reddish brown with a light brown head. Medium-bodied, hard roasted malt accents, a light acidity and some vague fusty touches. Short and dry finish. Not much Schwarzbier about this. 290308 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Mar 5, 2001 After a resample, it is still rather thin, and very sugary. The development of malt flavour leaves a lot to be desired. Like a Purkmistr, Jamtlands Heaven or Sprecher Black Bavarian. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 18, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown, creamy with a nice brown head. Aroma is sweet malty, slight chocolat. Flavour is mainly sweet with a creamy mouthfeel, very classic caribbean/south american stoutish beer, simply too sweet, but better than some of the others I’ve had. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 11, 2008 Bottle.
Black coloured with a medium sized beige head.
Aroma of malts, wheat bread and grain with sulphuric notes.
Sweet and light roasted flavour of caramel with notes of liquorice and chocolate.
Almost no bitterness.
Overrated.
