Cask; Status uncertain.
Nine Malts (including Belgian Aromatic, and Smoked), Nine hops (Apollo, Bravo, Columbus, Delta, EK Goldings, First Gold, Galena, Hellertauer, Junga) and two strains of yeast - this is a very special beer made for the drinker who wants something different. This is NOT a stout, itís something else entirely. Big malt aroma on a bitter, balanced hop finish.

Clear dark brown colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocoalte, toffee. Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 5/2/2013. dark brown with a decent, off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, yeasty dark fruits and hedgerow hops. Flavour had solid, grainy malts, more chocolate and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

Cask conditioned handpump Salmon Leicester 13/06/12. A very dark brown coloured beer with a beige hint to the head and lacing. A bit of smoke, a bit of licorice and a big dollop of berry fruity hops in this complex nose. Good fruits in the mouth with lightly roasty malts. A bit of chocolate too. But itís the hops which are really good in this and set it aside. Very nice.

Cask gravity, Leicester BF, 09/03/12. Muddy black, tan top. Neutral aroma, considering; bell pepper, well done wholemeal, leaf matter and almond. Iím exaggerating. Fuller flavour; buttered, Nutella-dipped Twiglet, vegetal and coal streaks; praline. Good beer but 9x9?? Disappointing festival closer.

Cask, Leicester Fest 12. Very dark brown with a beige bubbly foam. Aromas are earthy coffee with dark winter fruit. Chocolate with bready yeast. Flavours are bitter dark chocolate with sweet weetabix malts. Nutty and earthy with fruity, herbal notes. Quite smooth on the palate yet dry and nutty. Good stuff.
