2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask at The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) A clear golden colour with a fluffy white head. Aroma of lemon, grapefruit, some apple and grassy hops. Taste is similar of citrusy lemon and apple, dry grapefruit, grassy hops and some berry sweetness. Light bodied and an oily texture. A dry, citrus hop bitterness in the finish. A decent dry, golden ale. Just not my style.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
V142 c4 Cask at the Thame Food Festival- this was the green hop version. Bright, clear gold with a thin white head. Light lemon and a little kiwi up front with some grassy notes following. Smooth, mellow mouthfeel, like many XT beers. Light in body and flavour and none the worse for it. A relaxing, chilled out blonde that you’d happily enjoy all summer. Nice, and grew on me the more I had.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Takeout form PoW, Hinckley. Pours clean brilliant gold with a slender white foam. Good grass and citrus nose with greenery, pineapple, urinal, kumquat and lemon zest. Subtle oatmeal and oak malt richness beneath juicy orange and anise hop. Soap, maybe a dab of butter. Although crisp and tanging. Pick of the XTs I’ve sampled thus far.
