Cask handpump at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford 22.06.12 Pours gold amber with a slim white head, looks great. Initially a little sweet and despite being a decent drop quite a departure from the very hoppy Acorn Newport IPA. Smooth easy drinking golden bitter. The bitterness is there but a tad too subtle for me. Pleasant beer but I would have liked something a bit brasher and more assertive. A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov12 3.3

Cask at Leicester Beer Festival 2012. Clear amber with no head. No noticeable aroma, slight bitter hops but really not much to this. Short finish. A bit watery. A bit ordinary when compared with many of the other beers I tried at the festival. Probably a decent session beer.
