Cask gravity at Firkin Ale House Folkestone. Clear amber colour lasting off white head. Hoppy lovepy malty. Had a couple of not good beers before this so anything half decent was going to be a delight. It’s good. Good hop.

Cask at the Earl of Essex - London. Pours clear, red-gold with a slight, creamy topping. The nose has some old berries and brown bread. Light-medium sweet flavor with some soggy grains and leaves, citrus peel, bread, vague pine. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation; the condition could be better. There’s a modest mineral edge in the finish, along with more ripe berries and grainy brown bread. Fair.

imdownthepub (11196) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2012
Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Orange amber with white head. Big fruity beer, berries with fruit pulp notes slightly sweetish but not overly so, then a goodly amount of aromatic hops, flowery with touches of citrus. A very pleasant beer which hides its strength well. Good stuff.

Cask conditioned handpump Lower Red Lion St Albans 03/08/12. An amber coloured beer with an off-white pool of head. US hops prevalent throughout. Fruity berry flavours and sweet malts. A touch of acidity in the nose spoils it somewhat.

Cask handpull, Prince of Wales, on a bit of a miniature crawl of Hinckley, 11/01/14. Thick-collared red bronze. Perfumed peach, flowers, tangerine nose. Honey, mandarin and biscuit base with a generous waft of green stewed and soft tropical hop. Really good; approaching US IPA good actually. On handpull in Hinckley. Unbelievable.
