On gravity, at Barrow Hill Beer Festival - Hazy orange gold body with medium sized white head. Aroma is caramel and malt.Sweetish malt and caramel taste with a hint of bittrness in the aftertaste. Very subtle background hint of fruit in the aftertaste too.Not fantastic, but okay.

A lively dark amber to ruby ale with a slightly off white head. It has a pleasant toffee, chocolate, fruit and vanilla aromas which follow into subtle flavours of roasted malts and has a bitter hoppy finish. A classic dark style bitter with a refreshing bite.

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 15/12/12. Lightly hazed dark amber with a thin off white head that retains as a small film and largely at the edge of the glass. Nose is caramel, dark fruits, vanilla, toffee fudge. Taste follows, a touch more fruity than the nose. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter sweet finish. A most decent bitter.

Cask conditioned handpump Bell & Bear Emberton 21/10/12. A ruby coloured beer with an off-white head. Rich and fruity throughout. Cakey malts and toasty elements. Slightly warming and very nice.

Ascot Beer Festival 2012. Pours a amber red colour with a beige head, aroma is malty and has plenty of fruit, taste is sweet at first which leads to a dry bitter finish.

[Cask from brewer’s own stand at the Thame Food Festival] Crystal clear amber-red with a slight white head. Lovely rich, full mouthfeel. Despite the cascade hops, this seems to have full-on traditional English bitter flavours - fruity flavours of berries, orange and marmalade, with a lasting earthy, bitter finish and a slight dryness. Tastes stronger than it is. Very decent beer from what seems to be becoming a very reliable brewery.

Cask conditioned at Moreton in Marsh Beer Fest ’12. Tawny red with white head. Something a little different here, certainly pretty sweet and fruity, plummy, damsons followed by a sharpish twang, like a slightly corked red wine, this adds to the beer rather than detracts. Decent.
