Cask. Simple amber pour. Mild aroma, bit of hop, largely malty. Smooth, bitter-like finish. Actually, very bitter-like in all respects. Dependable drinker, but nothing more.

Cask gravity @ 13th Egham Beer Festival. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy dark fruit aroma with lots of star anise. Fruity malty spicy star anise flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel and dark fruit finish.

Cask conditioned at Egham Beer Fest #13. Dark brown with no head. This is heavily spiced, maybe over spiced, loads of cinnamon, Chinese type dessert spices and bitter orange. I understand the experiment but for me it missed a little.

From cask at Egham 13. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small tan head. Aroma is cinnamon and cardemomme spiced. Annis seed and caramelish to light malty flavoured. Bitter and roasted malty finish.
