Perfect cask IPA! Hand pumped had a thin white foam and floral green aroma. True to style grapefruit bitterness and pleasantly sticky mouth feel.

Cask handpull, PoW, Hinckley. Bright gold with a slender, draping white foam. Aroma mature cheese, pissy fur, tripel-like Cointreau, stewed green, sweaty pits and mandarin hop. Good marmalade and orange in syrup thickness; warm booze, liquorice hints. Malts steal show in a clean, oily, peanut-like aftertaste. Some balancing biscuit sweetness but overall pretty bitter. Hops demolished a little by syrupy booze. Generally solid EIPA.

Cask, gravity at XT Brewery Open day, Saturday 30th November 2013 Warm gold, slight haze, buzzy bitterness, bubbly white head. At once this is crisp green fresh hops but with a persistent buzz, bit like a more gentle Ruination. Fruity, blisteringly hoppy, marvellous. Despite the hoppy onslaught this is actually dangerously drinkable. Big citrussy punch with grapefruit prominent, we’ve missed out on this beer before, so really glad we got to try it today. Fresh from being tapped. Just my kind of beer.

Hand pump at Chesterfield Ale House - Nice golden look to this one, thin white head. Nose of tropicals, picked out mango and guava, with a taste that builds on this. Robust syrupy mouthfeel, with a good bitter finish. Best XT I’ve had.

Cask at the Nags Head in Reading on a bleak night soaked to the bone. Sterling appearance with a frothy head and decent hops. Someone turn off the rain.

Cask at The Land of Liberty in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire on 14 July 2013. Clear light amber pour with white head. Sweet tropical fruit aroma with hints of candy sugar and some citrus hop. Initial hop bitterness is offset by sweet mango and butterscotch flavours.

Cask at Ealing beer festival 2013, London. A light golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, tropical fruit, grapefruit, quite rich. Decent.

Cask conditioned at St. Aldates Tavern, Oxford. Gold with white head. Quite a fruity start to this, tropical fruit type flavours, grapefruit, pineapple and mango, slightly thin perhaps but dry and bitter later. Pretty decent.
