This beer is smooth, dark and chocolately/roasty making it too big for a brown porter, it is instead on the light side of a Robust Porter. If you don’t like it plain, stay tuned on Wednesdays when we’ll be releasing small batches of flavored porters (cherry, vanilla, coffee)

Black pour with a thin light tan head. Nose is a bit roasty with some black grains and sweet earthy cocoa, with a light and dry coffee whisper. Big and earthy roasty flavor of dark cocoa, dry earthy bitterness, roast malt in spades, and just a whisper of coffee. Dry earthy roasty finish, medium bodied.

On tap at Yak & Yeti Brew pub. Color is black with light carbonation and a thin tan head. Aroma is deeply roasted giving notes of coffee and a hint of smoke. Flavor has an almost sweet feel up front then the roasted malt and coffee show with a bit of chocolate. In the after taste a very light bitterness balances of the sweet leaving it slightly dry. Overall its a great porter, very well balanced.

4oz sample at brewery. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and malt. Taste of the same with more chocolate. This medium bodied brew is darn tasty.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish pour thin slightly off white head, aroma brought some nice dark and milk chocolates, hints of a belgian style fruity ester, slight roast, coffee and a hint of caramel. Taste is chocolate, mainly dark bitter, with some roasted coffee, slight fruity sweetness with a caramel and toffee note, slight earth as well.

n tap at Yak and Yeti poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, vanilla, fruittiness and light cofee. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a watery finish. Flavors of bakers cocoa, vanilla and light roastiness with a smooth lingering chocolate finish.
