Skyview (2641), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jun 15, 2008 On draught at the brewpub in downtown Vancouver (Yaletown sector), Canada. Pours a clear copper penny amber brew with an average off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some excellent lacing. Aroma of roasted nuts, grapefruit and citrus zest, a touch of pear fruit and some light caramel malt. Taste is mildly bitter, medium bodied, light carbonation with grapefruit zest, and some roasted caramel malt. Finish has a slight mild bitterness that slowly disappears to a toasted and powder caramel malt aftertaste. Aroma is a little of sugar and piney hops. Flavour is malty with a touch of hoppy bitterness throughout. Finishes with a slight dryness. Nice easy drinking beer. Oakes (6784), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Feb 11, 2007 Dark brown, cloudy. Right off the bat, it’s got that woody, foresty hop and toasty malt in the nose. Lots of toasty, roasty malts along with subtle woody, earthy hops. Fairly creamy body for a Yaletown brew. It’s such a simple formula, why has nobody outside BC discovered it yet?
