Thanks to ericandernavy. The smell is super skunky, corn, and grains. THe look is pale yellow in color with a white fizzy head. The taste is malts, water, and grains.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Yellow with a white head. Skunked, skunked and even more skunk. Watery plate with skinned flavors of malt and cardboard.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. I thought this was sake at first glance at the big green bottle. Nose is green apples, skunky garbage, dumpster, and grease pit. Taste is, "nothing on top of rained on cardboard."

( 600ml bottle thanks to ericandersnavy) Pours very pale yellow with light bubbles. Nose of apple, butter, rotten vegetables. Taste of grains, apple and veggies.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Looks like the water I jused used to rinse out my glass after my Goose Island Bourbon County. And what a terrible, terrible transition. Aroma is skunk and rice. This beer makes me weep. Flavor: I’m honestly scared to drink this. Corn, garbage, diacetyl, cereal, sweet, skunk.

Bottle courtesy of ericandersnavy. Bottle marked Yanjing Beer. Clear light yellow. Small white head. Smell is there. Stale grain and soured notes. Taste is slightly sweet. Kind of a malt liquor flavor. Old pumpkin scents turn up as it warms.

Thanks to ericandersnavy for this green-bottled beauty!! Pours a pale yellow body that’s fizzy and headless. Aroma of corn syrup and super skunk. Flavor not as bad as aroma: Light lemony sweet. After that--nothing. Paper thin body. Lively carbonation.

Thanks to ericandersnavy for sharing this bottle. I guess this is the right place to review this, even though the bottle was different. All the label said was Yanjing beer with no ABV or other information. Pours a standard macro yellow with a white head. The aroma is corn and garbage. Flavor is more macro corn. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not a very good beer.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. I was told by the local admin that this might be the right entry, but it is hard to tell as the bottle only says Yanjing Beer with no alcohol content given. Anyway. Pours with a very clear pale body. Aroma of acetaldehyde and sugar. Taste is sugar, adjuncts and pretty shoddy overall. Fizzy and dry.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2010 I actually guessing that his is the version that I am drinking as none of the names or images matches what I have here. Very vegetal in both aroma and taste. Grassy. Tastes like a rice beer. It is crisp. There is an interesting sweet aftertaste though. Overall not bad.
