1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pours a clear golden color, Topped with a average white frothy head, no real retention. Aroma of malts is mild, smelly grainy notes present. Taste is watery, sweet, no nice bitterness to speak of, metallic a bit. Poor effort.

Bottle in Macau.
Fruity-malty, very neutral beginning. Sweetish malt, grain, no bitterness. Round but flat. Boring stuff.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Big bottle. Yellow, white head. Nose is strong green apple, flavour’s same, fairly sweet due to the apple, corn and dms in there as well. Tastes extremely cheap, I forgot how bad lagers could get, these Asian lagers are absolutely worse than American despite the "bottom 100" listings.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
April 29th, 2012 - A night out with Chinese food is usually an affair between me, the food, and a glass of water. But somebody must have ordered a beer for the table, and I wasn’t one to pass up a review opportunity. Knowing full well that “Yanjing Beer” was likely just a foreign pale lager, I went and took a sip anyway. The aroma is essentially absent, and the flavor is bubbly, light and also basically flavorless. This inoffensive brew can pair with a greasy, sauced up blob of pork or chicken finely, because there’s little chance you’d taste a flavorful beer anyway. But the extra calories on top of the fats slung onto my food make this a sipper - one or two sips, or just enough to get a fair evaluation of the flavor, and then I’m happy to pass what remains of the bottle to the gentleman on my left, who eagerly snorting hot and sour soup, accepts the respite from chilies and spice gratefully.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottled, 0.64l. Clear brownish golden color with large frothy, but quickly diminishing white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of grainy malt, cardboard and grassy hops. Taste is sour grainy and of adjuncts, mouthfeel is crisp and dry, while finish is light bitter. Light body, watery texture and fizzy carbonation in palate. Commercial deScription looks great, the rest is total disappointment...

This is terrible....if this is premium, I don’t want their lower one. It’s like a bitter and bad Nat lite. Thanks Carter.

Bottle. Standard boring lager flavour from China, could be worse. Sweet in the finish
