1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
330 ml can bought at TASTE in Festival Walk, Kowloon Tong.
Piss-like pale golden yellow colour; Very thin head and white foam which lasted for 40 seconds; No lacing with lasting fizzy soda-pop carbonation; Pungent smell of malt, with cereal grains, butter, and hint of glass; Thin light sweet taste of corn, rice, faint malt, wet cardboard, thin citrus, and very light grass; Light body, watery palate; Mouth feel is RICE, RICE and more RICE. Adjunct-laden with sweet corn and a bit of malt, with ugly buttery / DMS taste being sandwiched in between; Hoppiness is macro lightweight, sweet buttery hoppy finish. Yuck! Slightly dry after taste, increasingly uneasy to mouth.
Comments: I bought this at TASTE because all other places sell it as 6-pack and I have no intention to stock this crap. Turns out to be a decision well made. At 12°P, I expect at least half-decent quality. Turns out it’s just as bad as other lightweight macros - full of sweet corn and rice, smeared with butter / DMS. Downed half a can is already too much for me. Drain pours! The only consolation is that it only costs US$0. 55.
