COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Yanjing Beer (4.5% alc./vol.for bottle and 5% alc. /vol. for can) is naturally brewed with mineral water, hops, rice and barley malt, resulting in a distinctly clean taste. Yanjing has a floral nose and dry, crisp malty smoothness that provides a refreshing finish with an undertone of hops

33cl green bottle (4,5% ABV.) from Mendoza, Albir. Pours pale golden with a white head. Strange, chemical aroma with notes of cooked vegetables and overripe fruits. Medium sweet with some acidity. Is this really beer? Horrible stuff!

330 ml green bottle, 4.5% ABV. Clear light yellow, fine white lasting foam. Skunky sweet bready Asian lager malt aroma and taste and not much else. Average carbonation, light bodied, no hopped. Chinese industrial swill. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Can. Pours a pale, clear yellow with a bubbly head. Looks and tastes like ginger ale. Sweet aroma, cereals and a little floral. No hops to be found. Flavour is sweet, light and a little malty. Not much here at all. I’ve had worse, but this doesn’t have much going for it.

Rating #927 - January 20, 2014 - I know I’ve had this before but the HiBridge rep was pouring all kinds of crazy Asian liqueurs and spirits so why not a beer? - Clear yellow pour, bubbly white foam. No retention. Aroma is grassy, euro lager. Palate is clean, crisp, inoffensive lager malt , lightly hopped. Very bland.

Can: Golden color, white head. Flavor is sweetis, malty/grainy and light corny. Few to no hops in the end. Astringent finish. Could be worse.

[5078-20130120] 500mL can. Fruity straw corn aroma. Clear, yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Sweet corn mash flavour has a long sweet light fruity aftertaste. Light body. Fair. (5/3/5/3/10) 2.6

Yanjing Beer has a thick, white head and a clear, bubbly, golden appearance, with some thin lacing left behind. The aroma is sugary sweet and grainy. Tastse is of the same, with a bit of paper and some light bittering thrown in. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Yanjing Beer finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and easy going. Overall, this is a very good beer, and I am so glad I was able to try it. RJT
