1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Have to say I don’t expect much from this. Very clear pale golden pour with a ton of white frothy head that faded very quickly. Grassy scent mixed with something odd. Sweet like Gasoline. Oily and sweet. Lots of grassiness and sweet malts. If this truly is the No 1 Beer From China I feel sorry for the Chinese. Not enjoyable but drinkable. This will be my first and last Yanjing

Pours bright yellow with nice white head that disperses almost immediately. Very flat. Medium texture. You can taste the hops and malt. No carbonation to speak of at all. Kind of bland.

Sweetest beer I’ve ever had. No complexity either, Corn, honey(?), citrus, odd aftertaste too. Metallic. Ugh

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml can. Pours a clear, pale yellow with a one finger, white head. Aroma is pleasant with sweet grain and not a lot else. Taste is balanced. Slightly sweet grain, traditional, mild hops, and a short ending. Medium body and carbonation. Clean and refreshing in the mouth. Overall a big name beer from China. Not a lot going on but done well enough.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottled version @4.5% from the Villa Market Ambassador, Bangkok. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is sweet malt. The flavour is light bitter sweet with a watery mineral malt light hop palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty awful really. I feel sorry for the Chinese!

33cl green bottle (4,5% ABV.) from Mendoza, Albir. Pours pale golden with a white head. Strange, chemical aroma with notes of cooked vegetables and overripe fruits. Medium sweet with some acidity. Is this really beer? Horrible stuff!
