1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Liquid bread for the masses. About as plebian and pedestrian as beer gets. Lifeless. Best served headache cold. An alcohol level of about.05 or less, as near to near beer as beer gets in China.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear yellowish. Pretty crummy. A typical example of cheap mass-market pale lager, though its definitely not the worst. I hope there’s no lead in it.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Pours a clear light golden color with a moderate white head. Nose is a little sweet and skunky like so many export lagers are. Taste is much the same, and unappealing. Meh.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Sprout’s: Poured with a thick white foam head while a light golden blonde that actually looked darker than most other Chinese pale lagers. Aroma is slightly skunky but has all the typical scents of a cheap beer brewed with adjuncts perhaps rice. The beer has minor notes of malt and skunk but nothing near European green bottle pale lagers and has a sweet finish. Really boring but good price for a bomber.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
11.2oz bottle. Pours really light. Aroma of white bread and hints of the lightest hops. Flavor the same. Light. Not good.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
UPDATED: SEP 30, 2014 Perhaps the most interesting feature of this ordinary lager is its striking aroma. Some people call may it "skunky", but as there are no skunks in China, I place this strong musky scent as a blend of civet cats, tibethan macaques and red pandas. If not repulsive, the aroma is somewhat amusing. The rest is just a rather poor lager, that will be pleasant if taken very cold after a day’s work in the chinese countryside. Just another note for the rather waxy palate: one wonders what kind of shortcuts are being used on the making of this beer.

500ml can, clean gold color, with a frothy bubbly white head, faint grainy pale, munich malt nose with a light rice cereal, faint vanilla note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a light honey pale, pilsener, munich malty character, with a faint mineral, metallic, flowery fruity ripe apple hop flavour, leading trowards a crisp pale, pilsener maltiness, subtle lingering hop bittering finish.
