Skunky aroma accompanied by notes of hay. Appearance is impressive...... a crystal golden color with a white frothy head that disappates quickly. Tastes surprised me.... Light sweetness with an impressively fresh aftertaste. Usually beers this skunky are biting in the end, but this one is very smooth! Light body, with a thin texture. Carbonation is lively. Finishes long and amazingly smooth. Decent beer.

Bottle sampled at the World Beer Festival Richmond, 6/12/10. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. Good head retention and lacing. Big skunk in the aroma which also features grass and unripe banana. The taste is green banana, grass and skunk. Medium bodied.

Originally rated December 2008. Bought a six-pack of this at the LCBO, and had a few for our jam straight from the bottle. Was pretty decent. Now, from the glass. Pours a light golden colour with a big foamy white head, good retention, lots of small lacing lines and average carbonation. The aromas starts on grain malt, but ends up on the hoppy side. Crisp mouthfeel, but not watery, with a medium body. The taste is like the smell, starting off with the grain malt and going into a mildly bitter finish. This beer is nothing exceptional, but a bit better than the other swill Chinese brews we get here. Found it pretty hoppy from the bottle. Written on back label, imported by Hi-Bridge Consulting Corp. from Vancouver, B.C. Canada.

Bottle at home. Pours clear golden yellow, 1.5-finger white head, seems to have very strong carbonation. Head doesnít stick around, reducing to a skim in ~10 seconds nor is there any lacing to speak of. Nose is intensely skunky, but then itís a "Beer in a Green Glass Bottle" which seems to be code for "Skunky Pale Lager" though itís either been ages since I last had one, or this one isnít really that bad, because Iím kinda digging the aroma. The skunk and light metal notes are balanced by a touch of sweetness, and some light grassiness. Not mindblowing, but appetizing enough, I suppose. Flavours are crisp and lightly earthy, with some nettly skunk and a touch of metal. This isnít one-note apples either, there is a touch of grass and some mouthfeel and body here too. All things considered Iíd call myself pleasantly surprised. Itís not life-changing by any means, but you could do far worse in a Chinese Pale Lager.

Sure, itís a typical North American style Pale Lager. Still, itís from China, so thatís cool. The flavor is standard, but good.

Not a bad lager. Some sweet grainy aromas and flavours. Interesting apple flavour up front. Quite decent.

Bottle from Sproutís: Poured with a thick white foam head while a light golden blonde that actually looked darker than most other Chinese pale lagers. Aroma is slightly skunky but has all the typical scents of a cheap beer brewed with adjuncts perhaps rice. The beer has minor notes of malt and skunk but nothing near European green bottle pale lagers and has a sweet finish. Really boring but good price for a bomber.

Bottle. Pale yellow pour, with a small, bubbly, white head. The aroma is rice, pine, tangerines, and apples. Very sweet, with some fruity esters. Light body, a little effervescent, and silky. Overall, this is a surprisingly flavorful, light, and fruity lager.

Another simple beer with little flavor, aroma or taste. Overly filtered but better then a budweiser.
