[Canned, 0.6-2.5%] Pale yellow, extremely brief fizzy head. Aroma of pineapple and metal. Very sweet with thin, sticky mouthfeel. Besides the sweetened canned pineapple it is dominated by metal and stale vegetables. I didn’t really know how to make Yanjing beers taste worse, but thanks for letting me know...

Purhased at 7-Eleven in Beijing. Pours very pale yellow with a white fizzy head that is gone in an instant. The aroma of pineapple will fill the room. Tastes like pineapple. This is not a fruit that was meant to be mixed with beer. I took 2 drinks and poured out the rest. Awful.

So a friend of mine brought this back from China because he knew that I like to try new beer. I gotta say with the other Asian beer I have had it is always a struggle to finish the glass. This one is pretty interesting. If you didn’t know it was beer, you would probably just assume that it is a fruit cider, or sparkling juice beverage. The aroma is pretty foul - a bad fruity smell with tangy fake pinapple. The taste on the other hand is bearable. It is pretty heavily carbonated as all sparkling juice beverages are, and the flavour isn’t too obnoxious. There is some faint bad pale lager finish to the swallow, everyone who sampled agreed that it could be, and we were expecting it to be, much worse.

Yellow body with a big fizzy white head. Smells of lovely, very appetizing pineapple. Taste is shandy, way too sweet and of fake pineapple. Gross. Purchased a 12 ounce can for U.S $ .30 at Scitech Plaza in Beijing, China
