Can (473ml). Clear gold, bubbly, fizzy diminishing white head. Fusel aroma, wet newsprint, sugar, something stale-bitter. Tastes like a light Canadian macro, with a bit of honey and dried weeds added. Watery, stinging, lightly boozy mouthfeel, a weird harshly sweet aftertaste - I need to go swig some vodka, I have cooked vegetable schnapps now coating my tongue.

Woah! This is one turdlager of a brew. It smells like a crummy malt liquor (I’m looking at you Colt 45) tastes like disel smells and some corn and alcohol. The weird thing, it is growing on me.

Call me a skeptic but I’m guessing this is more of a pale lager than an eisbock... Honey and corn greet the nose. Aroma is a bit sickly sweet. Brilliantly clear golden body topped by a low but constantly replenishing white head. Corn, alcohol, honey and grassy hop flavour. Fairly sweet but offset by very strong and overly prickly carbonation. Light-medium body. Lager glass. Fridge temperature. Can (LCBO at Lynden Park Mall in Brantford, May-08).

Pours an orange gold with a generous densely foamy head. Sweetly alcoholic aroma, corny , certainly not in any way "extra malty". Sickly sweet palate with a weird astringently bitter finish, brief and very dry.

Clear golden in colour, quickly dissipating white coloured head, very light lacing. The aroma is very sweet, dominating alcohol with some very stale pale malts. The sweetness and alcohol hit you first in the flavour with some apples, pale malts, cardboard, vegetables, slight sourness. Sweet alcoholic mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes harsh, very sweet and highly alcoholic.

There is no way that this is an Eisbock, this has malt liquour written all over it. Very harsh, it seems like it has double the amount of alcohol that it actually has.

473ml can from the LCBO in Belleville, Ontario.
Opened on January 27, 2008.
No date.
