A malty aroma with a pale clear amber color with little head. You can taste sweetness and hoppiness with the alcohol feel on your tounge and throat. This beer has a bitteraftertasre that lingers. Has a medium body. Not a bad brew very sweet and has a good hop flavor tho i dont think that a hop flavor should stand out in a trippel. But worth a. Try

Draft. Poured cloudy brown color with an average frothy light brown head that lasted with excellent lacing. Complex toasted malt and yeast aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium balanced flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration with a small alcohol bite. This is a complex good beer.

Tap. Moderate malt notes of bread, roasted and milk chocolate, light to moderate perfume and cooked orange for the hops, moderate dough for the yeast with brown sugar, date, fig and toffee in the background. Head is average size, creamy, slightly off-white with good lacing and good legs and is mostly lasting. Color is muddy medium brown. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, creamy with a soft carbonation. I was very surprised to find this at Yard House PBG, a very tasty and well rounded Tripel.

House Tap at Yardhouse Downtown Denver. Murky burnt honey/orange with a beige head that starts pretty medium and rocky but quickly recedes to a cap. Nice aroma of light Belgo esters and some honey, some light apple tone, and some light molasses on a sweet pale grain backbone. Taste is a little too boozy, can definitely tell its 9%. But under the alcoholic tones lie some pale grains and a funky barn yeast tone with a light apple and banana estery flavor, a light presence of bubblegum and a bit of rusty caramel. Ends kinda doughy-yeasty with some light Belgo esters and a touch of caramel. Not as smooth tasting as the aroma, but not bad in of itself. Just a little too boozy.

Had this one at the Yard House in Vegas, at the Red Rock Resort on my trip there in the fall of 2011. Great creamy head, almost looking like nitro was involved in this one. Decent retention and small lacing. Golden-amber coloured. The smell reminds me of Kilkenny, with caramel malt and fruity notes. Creamy mouthfeel with a little stickiness. Pretty sweet tasting at first with some fruit in the middle and slight hop in the finish. The aftertaste is spicy. A pretty nice Tripel brewed by Silly.
