Our House IPA is brewed by the Uinta Brewing Company (pronounced you-in-tah) from Salt Lake City, UT. The blend of different hop varieties give it a big hop aroma and distinct bitterness with layers of pine, cedar and citrus flavors. The special combination of roasted barley adds a toasted note and allows for a lower ABV keeping this distinct brew from being overpowering.

Nice IPA. Faint aroma of citrus hops. Average light amber color with a white head. Big flavor with more citrus bitterness and a hint of woody character. Average palate with strong carbonation. Good with a burger.

Draft at the Springfield VA Yard House location. Light, fruity notes. Crisp, more like a kolsch than an IPA, but not terrible. Light lemony zest notes on the finish.

On tap at Yard House Houston. Pours a clear earthy orange with a near white head that lasts and laces nicely. Aroma has light fruits with a bit of citrus and light grains underlying. Flavor has more of a citrus and pine combination backed by sweet grains.

Atlanta, Ga. - Atlantic Station Yard House - on tap. Medium golden pour, silky snow white head, luxurious lacing. Light piney aroma (tired of saying spruce). Solid IPA standard flavor - bitter citrus, caramel sweetness - you know the drill. Decently thick mouthfeel. Good companian to my Baja fish tacos.

9oz shorty on tap at Yard House Cincinnati. Mostly clear amber orange color. Good thin white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Pretty nice, bigger hop aroma up front... Bigger than expected. Nice floral and orange citrus notes. Light caramel / bready malt. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick finish. Good longer hop finish. Moderate bitter taste, lighter sweet, light zest. Solid, aromatic IPA. Flavorful for the ABV. Better than expected.

Tap. Poured clear dark amber color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy spruce hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This a good brew.

Draft at the horrible, horrible Yard House in Cincinnati. Served in a pint glass by a total asshole. Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Notes of pine, citrus, pale and sweet malts, some resin, faint toast. There’s a note in the flavor that I can only call ’wet dog,’ if I were to come up with the closest smell approximation. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a damp, earthy mouthfeel. A little off, but even without the off note, this probably is just a so-so IPA.
