Draft at Kite and Key. Poured nearly black with one finger of tan head. Notes of caramel, chocolate, vanilla, oak, roasted malts, and molasses. Medium mouthfeel, not too boozy but the bourbon is present in the finish.

Dark brown with amber tint and tan head. Roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Creamy feel in mouth. Roasted malt flavor with some smokiness. Dark chocolate and coffee flavors. A little acidic finish. Really like this brew.

Poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of bourbon, oak, bitter chocolate, carmel and roastiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bourbon, oak, bitter chocolate and roastiness with a smooth lingering bourbon finish.

Very nice dessert beer to pair with something with caramel/vanilla/lighter chocolate dish. Not overpowering, much more complementary to a food pairing given the somewhat low abv (a welcome change from what seems like the new 10% standard for anything coming at the end of a meal these days). Rich, smooth, roast coffee, vanilla and milk chocolate. nice.

Pours a three-finger light tan head that fades slowly to a ring leaving a good lace. Black color, no highlights. Light-medium carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Baked chocolate nose and flavor is baked chocolate with some molasses. $3.00 for a 12oz bottle from Mount Vernon Gift Shop, Mount Vernon, VA.

POurs dark brown with an off white creamy head. Head dissipated rather quickly. Aroma is caramel, vanilla and dark chocolate. Taste is sweet with some coffee bitters. Undertones of vanilla are tasty. Thin mouthfeel.

On tap in Philly. Dark brown. SMooth and malty flavour. Not too bad I must say.

Great beer! Pours porter-black with no head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, oak and hint of bourbon. Lots of chocolate and vanilla flavor with roasted malts and oak. Just a touch of bourbon.

Draft at Craft. Brown pour with off-white head. Nose was malty, with oaky spirit notes, mild cacao, molasses, and vanilla. Tasted malty, with a nice oaky bourbony element that wasn’t overpowering.
