On tap at Pinocchio’s. Golden pour, fruity aroma. Pear and caramel with a scraping bitterness. Not bad. Quite a medicinal burn, but it worked. Worth a try.

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of vanilla, light Bourbon, oak, Barley Wine, malt, and honey. Poured deep amber/copper in color with a small, creamy, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is medium to heavily sweet. Tastes of Bourbon, vanilla, oak, Barley wine, malt, and caramel. Medium to full body. Slick, oily, creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bourbon, oak, vanilla, Barley Wine finish is smooth.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2012 2010 .. Clear amber pour light head .... aroma of bourbon .... taste of some sweet malts and oaky but the bourbon/boozy taste just dominates this one ..... some sweet and fruity malt character but you have to dig deep to find it ..... 2012 version has more of a balance in the bourbon flavor with more of a sweet malt and dark fruit charachter and dry oak with some vanilla ... aroma is of bourbon, sweet caramel malts and dark fruits .... abv hidden well

Thanks Vtafro for the share, quite the exciting night indeed. Pours an amber bruin body with a ring off off white head. Aromatics are huge bourbon and boozy notes. A light oak and vanilla followed up again closely by booze. A viscous boozy body with oak and a modest fruit toned warming, ethanol and bourbon notes; a light hop character as well. Really very strong, sipping this was okay, but really seems over barreled with too big a warming. Still overall as a beer it was enjoyable.
