Boasting superior taste and champion flavor, the Brawler is crafted in the style of English session ales. This malt-forward, ruby colored ale is great for when you want to go a few rounds.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Levi. Clear amber with a beige head. Aroma of malt, a bit of caramel, a bit of biscuit and light fruity notes. Sweetish flavor with malt, caramel, an acidic note, light fruitiness. Medium-bodied. Drinkable.

Transfer from BA review on 5-12-12- Served in a 10 oz chalice glass Appearance – Served a deep red-brownish color with a lighter just off white head. The head faded rather fast leaving only a very light amount of lacing. Smell – Roasted and more nutty aromas are heaviest. The darker/nutty smells are accompanied by some sweeter aromas of molasses and brown sugar. Taste – The taste follows the nose quite well. It starts out quite roasty with some good sweetness. A brown bread flavor with hints of nuts mixed within. The sweetness in the flavor at the start is largely of brown sugar. As the taste advances however the brown sugar transitions to a more bitter chocolate flavor. This overall bitters the flavor a bit, and at the end leaves a more dry/bitter roasted flavor on the tongue. Mouthfeel – While at only 4.8 % abv it has a rather creamy body, which complements the roasty flavors well. The carbonation of the brew is on the normal side. Overall – A light abv beer with a roasty flavor. Not the greatest darker brew, but lighter and good for a session beer. One to try.

Drinkable and quite malty. Lots of barley, and some crisp bitter finish with dose of sourness. Tap at Irish Pol.

Bottle. Light body. Nice caramel color and a little caramel flavor. Make flavor, with little/no hop flavor. Good summer beer I guess.

Brawler pours a dark cola shade with a thin head that disappears quickly. There is a sweet but not overly so caramel maltiness in the aroma. That same caramel is quite evident in the taste as well. This is the anti-hop beer. No bitterness at all. Very light and super easy to drink bordering on watery.

Bottle tried in Philly. Pours a clear reddish color with a small beige head. Nose is sweet and fruity. Flavor is very subdued; bready, malty, that’s about it. Sessionable but really mild and unremarkable.

The balance of the malts in this beer is excellent and I love it. The only thing I would prefer was toned down is the bitter aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
