COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally brewed to withstand the epic voyages from the shores of England around the African Cape of Good Hope to the Indian Subcontient, the India Pale Ale has always been a beer for the adventurous soul. Thoroughly hopped with Amarillos in both the whirlpool and the fermenter, it was then transferred to our makeshift shipping cask, where it was dry-hopped again with Nugget and Columbus. Set adrift in our brewery without cooling, it was able to age as though it had been put to sea for six months. The result is an authentic double dry hopped and uniquely aged India Pale Ale reminiscent of something youíd find solace in on a balmy, Indian evening far away from home. Beware of tigers

Very underrated IPA. Reminded me of IPAs in England (which are phenomenal, but all taste the same) which are not as hoppy as American IPAs. Well balanced with malt. This is a nice beer. ABV is hidden tremendously. Actually high ABV, which is also different from English IPAs. Had this on pump and draft. Pump is a must have. Produces a nice, nosey burp, only after 4 - 6 of them. Tough to find. Drink this if you see it. One of my favorite IPAs/

Faint citrus smell not really heavy notes of any one thing which makes it interesting.pours orange to hazey straw color, minimal head. No big hop taste as another reviewer has noted but hides the alcohol.. mouthfeel has a fresh feeling. How yards accomplished such a smooth finish Iím not sure. A+

Draft at Craft. Poured hazy deep copper with off-white clingy head. Nose was intense piney hops, caramel malt, some tangerine and pineapple. This one smelled great. The flavor was resiny hoppy, with a firm caramel malt bill, and notes of black pepper, tangerine, and pineapple. Smooth, crisp, and well balanced, this one was great.

[Cask@ Northside] Poured a hazy amber color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, spices, citrus fruits, caramel malts, pine, and light toast. Taste of citrus fruits, pine, light tobacco, grapefruit, tropical fruits, and a lightly bitter finish.

The best beer Yards brews. This is their second brewing and after a long conversation with the brewer and then actually tasting it this year, I was blown away. Wonderfully balanced despite itís high potency. The hops are a nice citrusy bitter that IPA lovers will adore. Get this while itís available.

Cleer deep orange beer, creamy off-white to yellowish head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very pungant, pine cones, bit fruity, spices, soapy, resin. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: little fruity, pretty bitter, piny. Aftertaste: citrus fruits, some exotic fruits, dry hoppy bitter ending.

THOUGHTS: Nearly a double IPA. Great balance. Very ambitious aging process. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a medium orangey amber with an average, off-white head that mostly diminished and left excellent lacing. The aroma had moderate caramel and toasted malts; moderate to heavy resin, orange and lemon hops; and lighter pine hops. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and lightly bitter; while the finish was moderate to heavily sweet and moderate to heavily bitter with fairly long duration. There was caramel malt, brown sugar, orange hops, lots o citrus hops, pine and resinous hops a little wood and lemon hops. The medium body was a little syrupy and then rather dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry, slightly metallic and ever so slightly alcoholic finish.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Paramus. Pours a clear copper color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of herbal and floral hops, stone fruits and caramel malts. The taste is herbal hops, stone fruits, nuts and caramel malts. Medium bodied. Solid IPA.
