3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Chocolate, vanilla, coffee and slight booze aromas. Dry body. Caramel, very chocolaty, alcohol finish. Smooth, but a bit roasty, very different than the draft that I had a the brewery.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aromas of dark chocolate, bitter, earthy cocoa, nutty, dirty, walnut-like, hint of alcohol. Black with a lasting off-white head. Quite dry, chocolatey, roasty, a little burnt, some astringency, some booze. Medium-full bodied, pretty refreshing, smooth but not as creamy as I’m used to in a sweet stout.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: black, with a frothy, tan foam head, minimal lacing. Aroma: caramel, chocolate, nuts, roasty, vanilla, woody, light espresso. Taste: heavy sweetness, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, damp earth. Finish: full body, slick feel, soft carbonation, long sweet chocolatey finish. Notes: Much better as it warms close to room temperature.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy beige head that faded quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was bitter and roasty with notes of vanilla, cream, cocoa and a bit of perfume. Long vanilla and cocoa finish. Medium body. Ok.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma - chocolate malt with a little roast and tease of booze
Appearance - almost black body; opaque liquid; about 2" beige head
Taste - chocolate malt with a little roast, and subtle nutty quality
Palate - body is more light than medium; texture is thinner than a stout really should be; carbonation is flat; finish feels and tastes like chocolate milk, Boscos or like a Chocolate Cow.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a very dark brown apart black. A very nice tan foamy head. The aroma screams cocoa. Taste is a little watery and bitter. Taste like chocolate water. A little disappointed considering the great aroma.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Khyber Pass. Black pour that shows as a clear ruby under bright light. Large frothy beige head. Lots of lace. Dark buttery salted chocolate caramels. Thick rich dark red fruits. Semi-sweet Swiss chocolate bars. Only slight coffee and smoke. Surprisingly full body. Not overly complex, but pleasantly original. Tastes a whole lot better than the thoughts of chocolate covered oysters might conjure.

3.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft pour... nice 1/2 inch foamy head (very Guinness-like). Sweet taste at first sip, sweet aftertaste. Smooth drinking. Would not be my regular drink as the taste is "bland" relative to my first choice IPAs. But a very good change!
