Passionately brewed with over 200 pounds of pure, 100% cacao Belgian dark chocolate, this irresistibly smooth stout explodes with the taste and aroma of rich, dark chocolate goodness. This deep black beauty will seduce you with her roasty maltiness and hints of vanilla and caramel.

Chocolate, vanilla, coffee and slight booze aromas. Dry body. Caramel, very chocolaty, alcohol finish. Smooth, but a bit roasty, very different than the draft that I had a the brewery.

Aromas of dark chocolate, bitter, earthy cocoa, nutty, dirty, walnut-like, hint of alcohol. Black with a lasting off-white head. Quite dry, chocolatey, roasty, a little burnt, some astringency, some booze. Medium-full bodied, pretty refreshing, smooth but not as creamy as I’m used to in a sweet stout.

Appearance: black, with a frothy, tan foam head, minimal lacing. Aroma: caramel, chocolate, nuts, roasty, vanilla, woody, light espresso. Taste: heavy sweetness, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, damp earth. Finish: full body, slick feel, soft carbonation, long sweet chocolatey finish. Notes: Much better as it warms close to room temperature.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4918) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 11, 2014
Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy beige head that faded quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was bitter and roasty with notes of vanilla, cream, cocoa and a bit of perfume. Long vanilla and cocoa finish. Medium body. Ok.

Aroma - chocolate malt with a little roast and tease of booze Appearance - almost black body; opaque liquid; about 2" beige head Taste - chocolate malt with a little roast, and subtle nutty quality Palate - body is more light than medium; texture is thinner than a stout really should be; carbonation is flat; finish feels and tastes like chocolate milk, Boscos or like a Chocolate Cow.

Pours a very dark brown apart black. A very nice tan foamy head. The aroma screams cocoa. Taste is a little watery and bitter. Taste like chocolate water. A little disappointed considering the great aroma.

Draft at Khyber Pass. Black pour that shows as a clear ruby under bright light. Large frothy beige head. Lots of lace. Dark buttery salted chocolate caramels. Thick rich dark red fruits. Semi-sweet Swiss chocolate bars. Only slight coffee and smoke. Surprisingly full body. Not overly complex, but pleasantly original. Tastes a whole lot better than the thoughts of chocolate covered oysters might conjure.
